地調所進行臺灣北部火山地區火山災害潛勢資料蒐集與調查分析工作，範圍包括臺灣北部大屯火山地區、龜山島及宜蘭地區與臺灣北部海域火山。本年度針對大屯山及七星山火山亞群，分析可能發生之火山相關災害類型並進行致災因子調查、評估火山災害潛勢可能影響範圍、火山災害避災設施設置及交通管制措施評估建議，並更新火山災害潛勢圖資、製作說明摺頁，期能使民眾清楚瞭解臺灣北部地區火山活動可能造成的災害種類以及影響範圍。
根據不同的災害特性選用不同的模擬工具進行模擬，在分別以小油坑、大油坑、七星山及大屯山四個火山噴發假設地點條件下，火山熔岩流及火山碎屑流的影響範圍多在臺北市北投區及士林區內，火山灰則向外影響至新北市淡水區、三芝區、石門區、金山區及萬里區。相關火山災害潛勢圖資已完成修正更新，各項火山災害潛勢圖資將透過現有資料公開平台公布，並提供中央及地方災防機關作為火山災害防救計畫規劃執行參考。

The Central Geological Survey conducted the collection, investigation and analysis of volcanic hazard potential data in the volcanic areas in northern Taiwan, including the Datun volcanic area in northern Taiwan, Guishan Island and Yilan area and the volcanoes in the northern waters of Taiwan. This year, for the Datun and Cising volcanio subgroups , we analyzed the types of volcanic hazards that may occur, investigate the risk factors, evaluate the potential impact scope of volcanic hazards, set up volcanic hazard mitigation facilities, and evaluate traffic control measures. We have updated the volcanic hazard map and create an explanation leaflet, so that the public can clearly understand the types of hazard and the scope of influence that may be caused by volcanic activity in northern Taiwan.
